| Benefits
|
| It’s
all about formation.
With a tube hydroforming process so unique it's patented,
we are able to expand tubing diameters by up to 100% with
minimal wall thinning, using an inexpensive and safe multi-pressure
system. HDT’s process is also capable of hydropiercing
holes and slots. |
| Thinner
and lighter. Our patented sheet hydroforming
process promotes material uniform plastic strain distribution,
high surface quality results and a potential for cost
efficiencies. Additionally, sheet hydroforming often enables
the use of thinner material gauges for weight reduction.
|
 |
| Tooling
cost savings and flexibility. The HDT
process helps our customers realize significant savings
in tooling costs. Our system is designed to fit standard
hydraulic presses, eliminating the need for special high-cost
equipment. In addition, HDT tooling can be readily moved
from one press to another, giving HDT more flexibility
in production scheduling and equipment usage. |
 |
| A
repeatable process. HDT’s hydroforming
system gives you a constant and repeatable process that
can be a complete, flexible production turnkey system. |
To
sum it up. The use of hydroforming is
relatively new and growing rapidly as the technology
is being accepted as a viable process worldwide. Following
is a summary of some of the many advantages HDT’s process
offers:
-
Expands Tube Diameters by
as much as 100% with Minimal Wall Thinning in localized
areas.
- Changeable
Cross Sections
for full length of the part.
- Provides
Stronger Parts
through work hardening.
- Eliminates
MIG Welding
saving time and money while providing better quality.
- Reduces
Part Weight
- Lowers
Manufacturing Costs through fewer
dies, fewer parts and no special presses.
- Reduces
Material Costs
by eliminating overlap.
- Maximizes
Flexibility:
HDT equipment is transferable between presses.
-
Eliminates Expensive High Cost Equipment,
while achieving the same results, using the HDT multi-pressure
process.
